Leonardo DiCaprio stars in this drama directed by Danny Boyle. Upon arriving in Bangkok, American backpacker Richard (DiCaprio) is given a map by Daffy (Robert Carlyle) which shows him the way to an idyllic island. Richard teams up with French couple Françoise (Virginie Ledoyen) and Etienne (Guillaume Canet) to make his way there but their journey is fraught with danger. The trio eventually reach their destination and discover a community of travellers living on a secluded beach. However, it soon becomes apparent that there are dangers lurking in this supposed paradise... The cast also includes Tilda Swinton and Paterson Joseph.
