Animated musical sequel featuring the voice talents of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson. Buster Moon (McConaughey) is happy and thriving at his new theatre but he dreams of finding success in Redshore City. Together with his cast and crew, he travels there to audition for entertainment mogul Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale). Unfortunately, Jimmy is unimpressed until Gunter (Nick Kroll) panics and promises Jimmy that they have former rockstar Clay Calloway (Bono) with them. However, there is a slight problem: nobody has seen Clay for 15 years. Can the team find a way to put on the show?
