Baron (Keery) is a naive postal worker living in a small town and caring for his terminally unwell mother. When he is fired from his job, Baron worries he will be unable to afford his mother's expensive medication and becomes despondent. His world is turned upside down, however, when he has a fateful encounter with Marmalade (Morrone), a mysterious young woman whom he instantly falls for. The free-spirited Marmalade convinces a reluctant Baron that the pair should rob a bank to relieve his financial burdens and start over together, but can she really be trusted?
