When an extremely contagious and mutative parasitic fungus breaches containment, its destructive capabilities threaten the future of humanity. Free to spread after spending years lying dormant in a cold storage vault, the fungus begins infecting and destroying every living thing in its path. As security guards Travis and Naomi (Keery and Campbell) fight to keep it contained, bioterror operative Robert Quinn (Neeson) races to the site of the outbreak to aid their fight.
