Wolf Tribe

The Lakota culture existed for thousands of years, the culture and history were passed down through generations in the forms of chants. It was foretold over 1000 years ago the Lakota Peoples would face a period of near extinction but would recover. The passage of cultural knowledge was nearly lost during the US Government Policy of 'kill the Indian save the man' when Lakota children were sent away to boarding schools. The younger generations knowledge of the Lakota language and of the history contained within the chants was virtually lost. 200 years ago the Lakota People were the healthiest most robust people on the planet. Their diet was based on the buffalo. One Lakota, Wahunpa remembers the chants he heard from his grandparents before being sent off to boarding school. He believes in the ancient message contained in those chants and dedicates his life to restoring the Old Ways of the Lakota Peoples. The ancient chants describe a culture based on solidarity, personal dignity, cooperative behavior and reverence for mother earth. Crazy Horse the last known sleepwalker foretold of the recovery happening after 7 generations. We are in the time of the seventh generation. Wahunpa discovers his sleepwalker ability by accident while attempting a vision quest in search of his purpose. He will spend the rest of his life developing his sleepwalker abilities and pursuing his goal of restoring the Old Ways. The Lakota Old Ways focus on honor, integrity and generosity and run contrary to modern ideals, practices and norms based on success and achievement. Wahunpa must find a way to adapt the Old Ways to a modern world and not bring attention to his sleepwalking abilities. This is an account of his journey to recover his heritage and in doing so show the rest of the world how the earth can be healed but is there time. Will his recovered knowledge of how to heal the earth be recognized by modern science or should he even reveal how he discovered such information. In pushing the boundaries of what is possible members of the Wolf Tribe make several significant discoveries.
