WHAT IS PRAYER ?

Prayer is the most important thing for a Christian but it is also a subject that many Christians assume they understand and so many feel that they don't need to find out what it actually means to pray. This attitude has become awakens of some Christians.
The interest of this book is to define prayer and to explain what prayer actually means.
It is extremely important that we understand prayer. We must know what prayer is. Without prayer, a Christian cannot achieve much, and many of the promises of God or the things God wants for us (or we want God to assist us in getting) will not manifest.
Many people define prayer as 'talking to God and God talking back to you', which is okay but not entirely true and when we define prayer as such, we limit prayer
This book has been written to give the reader a clear understanding of what prayer actually is. The purpose of this book is to help you understand, through the scriptures, what we are doing when we pray.
One cannot deal with any spirit being without prayer. The Jews pray three times a day, the Muslims pray five times a day, the Hindus pray three times a day and the Buddhists pray three times a day. They are all dealing with spirit beings and they pray to these spirit beings, irrespective of what they call them or believe them to be.
Therefore, prayer is a key in the spiritual realm with direct implications in the physical world.
For us Christians we have been commanded to pray without ceasing, not only without ceasing but that everything we do should be done by prayer.
