Ututu

Lying in the extreme corner of Igbo land bordering the Cross River is a unique Igbo community called Ututu. The author writes passionately about this community from thirty years of studying the everyday life of the people and eighteen years as the custodian of Ututu tradition and custom i.e., the Eze Ututu. Now a very committed born-again Christian, he makes no case whatsoever for idolatry, nonetheless he firmly believes that it is important to pass down to future generations the unfamiliar and unfathomable facts about the people of Ututu.

In addition to his own dogged, albeit exhaustive research are the materials handed over to him by his father late HRH Eze S. N. Okore who ruled the community for thirty-eight years.
This book for the first time unearths previously unknown facts about not just Ututu history but also that of the other Cross River Igbo communities i.e., Ohafia, Ihechiow, Isu and Arochukwu.
