Artificial Intelligence or AI is a branch of computer science that focuses on developing systems that are able to do what would otherwise be handled by human intellect. It is related to the development of algorithms that allow systems to read and interpret huge volumes of data. It is these algorithms that enable the computer systems to ape some of the aspects of human thinking making the machines to imitate what the human beings can do through learning, planning, problem solving and decision making.The water industry is being challenged with the changing climate and poor resources whether in terms of financial or labour shortages. Water is becoming a scarcer, less predictable, and more contaminated by extreme weather events, and this is causing the water infrastructure, treatment processes to be put under more stress, along with those who operate all this. The contemporary agriculture has been challenged with a number of threats such as the effects of global warming, scarcity of arable land, and the outbreak of pests caused by the changed climate and global trade.
