This document is reserved for participants of the Training of Trainers (ToT) organized by CERED, KDS and the Ministry of Agriculture for Agricultural Extension Knowledge. The Center for Research and Communication in Sustainable Development (CERED) is a research office of the Faculty of Agriculture at ULC that is responsible for analyzing and improving donor (KDS) coordination of agricultural extension support. The challenge now is to move from a conceptual approach to concrete, sustainable actions to improve extension services. This discussion paper does not address all of the issues important to evaluating the effectiveness of extension. It addresses only those topics where it can add value by complementing, rather than replacing, other extension frameworks and systems for farmers.
