When Jace Conway intervenes and help two women being harassed in a store, he never expected to find the woman who would turn his world upside down.

Broken communication...

Phoenix Hankinson and Lily Fontaine have been engaged for over two years. There was never a big push to move forward because both were happy with their relationship. As soon as they decide to get married, however, obstacles start and don't seem to cease.

First, there's the issue of his last name. Then his mother shares her disapproval in a less than respectful way. Lily finds out some news, her mother-in-law gets arrested, Phoenix and she are on the outs, and she has to uncover whether her mother-in-law is guilty or lying. All in a days work.

A jealous ex...

After Jace's wife, Polly, kicked him to the curb, he's wanted nothing more than to have her call and tell him she made a mistake and to come back. Her reaction is more than he bargained for when she learns about his new girlfriend, Melanie. So much so, she issues an ultimatum: His new girlfriend or his kids.

Can Jace make a decision where he doesn't lose one of the two most important things in life, or will he make terrible decisions and ultimately putting one at risk of disappearing from his life? And can Phoenix and Lily find their way back to each other before it's too late, or is there too much damage to repair?
