The Lavender Eyes hide underground while the Gemini hide in plain sight. Harper, a member of the Lavender Eyes, has mysteriously become the Gemini's prime target.

The Gemini Assassins had been closing in for months. They should have been looking forty feet below ground. The old freight tunnels under Chicago were abandoned and desolate, making a perfect highway to connect all the Lavender Eyes in the city.
Tonight was a game of cat and mouse. Derek and Harper were the bait and the Gemini the prey. But Terrance knew tonight would change everything.
He would be here. Harper's future depended on what happened when she finally saw him.
As the echoes of the fight died down, Terrance slipped down the fire escape and raced home, plucking out his own luminescent contacts. He was satisfied. The Gemini hunting party was dead, and Harper's reunion was complete.
The pieces were falling into place for the end of Harper and Symphony's story. A final fight would be necessary to end the Gemini's reign of terror, but for once, Symphony would have the chance to make everything right with Harper.
