Toxic

Have you ever been pushed to the point of having a mental break? Were the people who pushed you considered family? Were you bullied relentlessly? Have you ever been in a toxic relationship where you feel that you couldn't escape? Do you like dark and inappropriate humor? If you answered "yes" to most, or all, of these questions, then this book is for you. My name is Brian Covert and I have dealt with a lifetime of trauma perpetrated by my family, bullies at school, employers, and even a couple crazy ex-wives. I have gone from being at rock-bottom, feeling hopeless, and ready to end it all, to being successful and on the road to recovery and healing. This book is told entirely from my perspective, there will be sad, intense, depressing, and sometimes humorous themes throughout this novel (there may even be an unhealthy amount of pop culture references). This novel was initially intended to help me process more of my trauma and continued abuse from my family, but I also think that this book can help others. I hope that my story will inspire and give strength those who feel hopeless, defeated, and those who have been/are being abused. So, buckle up and get ready for a bumpy ride down my memory lane.
