Too Hard

But the fruit of the Spirit is...love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

-Galatians 5:22-23

When life gets too hard, always remember it is God's power working through the Holy Spirit to help us in this journey, our temporary home. It is my prayer you embrace these character traits provided by the Holy Spirit. He helps us to entrust our lives to God's will and to trust his guidance. We seek his wisdom as we read the Bible, pray, and follow his ways. We can be more like Jesus as we lovingly touch the lives of those whom God has placed in our path.

It is the fruit of the Spirit, given to everyone who accepts and believes in Jesus, that gives us the power to love like Jesus loves. These divine character traits reflect God's character.

It is my prayer that through sharing my story of loss and some difficult situations others were dealing with, you come to see how the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives today. We just need to trust the power of the Holy Spirit as he provides the character traits that allow us to be more like Jesus as we deal with these situations.

It is my prayer that through these chapters, as each fruit is explained and I give you a heartwarming account of how others allowed the Spirit to work through them during a difficult time in their life, you are able to identify and understand how we all are blessed by the Spirit's love and the Spirit's power to let these character traits flourish in our lives.

Our journey here does get too hard at times. I hope this book helps remind you this is our temporary home.
