This book narrates the adventures of Pepe the Australian llama from down under, an intrepid and wise llama. He was brought to Australia from the Andes mountains long ago. Pepe has a deep sense of duty to the other animals who lived in this wild and rugged land.
One blistering summer, the bush was threatened by fierce wildfires. The animals felt threatened and very worried about their families. Pepe decided to put his skills to use and help the community he lived with. His keen sense of smell helped him detect the wind direction so that he could guide the animals to safety.
He rallies everyone to help until they arrive to a green valley untouched by the flames.
