The poems vary in tone from accusatory to defensive, the language tends towards direct but are many things that aren't said. There are many stories told or hinted at within. Many reflect the experiences of everyday life and tragedy, other times they emerge from strange dreams. Many of them have stories to tell. The language is based around everyday vocabulary. These poems are the fruit of six decades of living, loving and listening. They are the result of a lot of wayward thought.
John Hilton is a Bath based poet and author. He has published several volumes of poetry, two novels, four collections of short stories and two volumes of spiritual essays.
