Young attorney Kate Rossi has never known this grandfather because her mother cut off contact before Kate was born. Her father still refuses to explain why. So when Kate receives an invitation to the gathering, she decides to attend.
When she gets there, Kate finds tensions are already running high among her mother's siblings and their father. As the only amateur musician in the family, she decides to join in the competition, not realizing that someone at the reunion is provoked enough to kill.
