The Unseen Eagle

Lucas, a young boy, visited his relatives in a far distant
land in order to attend University. He was not sure of
what to expect. Though he was aware of good life over
there because of mostly the news he heard. His visit
was mostly on and off attending University and back. It
was a new world for Lucas. The classes were challenging, the
professors demanding, but Lucas found himself
thriving. He made new friends, learned new ways of
thinking, and slowly, the anxiety he had felt began to dissipate.
Yet, every evening as he returned to his uncle's
house, he would find himself drawn to the mountains.
He would sit on the porch, gazing up at the peaks, feeling
as though they were calling to him. He had a bit of
his trial on sports in the University. Though he faced
challenges with time during his first, second and third
year, he did perform well in some of the sports he participated
later in his years in the University. His fourth year
was a remarkable year as it was a period of serious decisions.
After graduation, he enrolled for an internship. When his internship was over
he received job offers in Texas but turned it down for a California job opportunity.
His persistence in life continued to guide him as he faces life challenges.
