In this book the old lady that was once poor isn't poor anymore but that doesn't mean these two orphans aren't. Living on a rural hillside where no one lives they can't find their parents and they haven't come home in so long they have to be dead. The older one is a ten year old girl who has to take care of her newborn baby brother, but he is ln his last bottle. She's looked everywhere for help and can't find it. She was walking near a town one day and that old lady finds her and her newborn baby brother. That old lady is now making a living off of making organic strawberry delicacies from the strawberry patch in her front yard. Can she and her strawberry patch change the kids' lives and show them that they're loved?
