The Short Journal and Itinerary Journals of George Fox

"The Short Journal and Itinerary Journals of George Fox" is an essential primary source documenting the life, travels, and ministry of the founder of the Religious Society of Friends. Compiled to commemorate the tercentenary of his birth, this volume brings together significant personal records that provide an intimate perspective on the early Quaker movement during the mid-17th century.

Within these pages, George Fox details his extensive missionary journeys across Britain and beyond, offering firsthand accounts of the challenges and triumphs faced by the first generation of Quakers. The journals serve as a testament to Fox's unwavering devotion to his spiritual convictions and his belief in the "Inner Light," providing readers with a detailed narrative of his interactions with civil and religious authorities. These itineraries do more than track geographic movement; they map the growth of a radical religious philosophy that would leave an indelible mark on Christian history.

Scholars and readers interested in religious history, 17th-century social movements, and the development of non-conformist thought will find this work an invaluable resource. "The Short Journal and Itinerary Journals of George Fox" remains a vital historical document that captures the voice of a man whose legacy continues to influence spiritual practice and social justice today.
