Addison and Carter spent quite a week in Kentucky after her life imploded in Annapolis, and she escaped reality to her new potential love interest's ancestral home in the rolling countryside of Lexington horse country. The weeklong funeral celebration for Carter's great uncle Bernard was odd enough, but nothing compared to the huge secret that was revealed during the family gathering.

Fortunately... or unfortunately just when things went sideways Addison received a frantic call from her mother in Detroit asking her to come home right away.
