The Need of a New Bible and a Creedless Church

"The Need of a New Bible and a Creedless Church" is a provocative and visionary work that calls for a fundamental reassessment of organized religion and scriptural authority. Samuel H. Guggenheimer argues that traditional creeds and ancient texts no longer fully serve the spiritual and ethical needs of an evolving society. The author advocates for the establishment of a "Creedless Church"-a community based on shared values and intellectual honesty rather than rigid dogmatic adherence-and the development of a "New Bible" that integrates modern understanding with enduring moral truths.

Through a critical and philosophical lens, Guggenheimer examines the history of institutional faith and the barriers that dogmatism creates between individuals and a meaningful spiritual life. The work emphasizes a transition from ritualistic belief toward a more rational, inclusive, and progressive approach to worship. This book remains a significant resource for readers interested in the history of religious modernism, secular humanism, and the ongoing dialogue between faith and reason in the search for a modernized spiritual framework.
