The Manicure

Katy Hopkins is a physical education teacher in Lincoln, Kansas, whose love of teaching and passion for coaching is the driving force in her life. Having dated a few men in her twenties, she wasn't interested in maintaining a long-term relationship with any of them. At her 30th birthday party she is introduced to Rachel, and that chance meeting serves as the catalyst for setting her on the path to true love.
Rachel is the mother of one of Katy's star basketball players and they share a few words after one of the games then reconnect again months later when Katy visits a nail salon where Rachel is a manicurist. Additional appointments follow, each one more engaging than the one prior.
Katy's life drastically changes when a picture of her and Rachel celebrating the win after a playoff game appears on the front page of the local newspaper. All of a sudden, she is thrown into a turbulent combination of public opinion and personal disclosure.
