The Kindness Bugs

Shelly the Snail has always been great at spreading positivity! Although that positivity is put to the test on a day when Bruce the Bumblebee is unkind. We can discover how sometimes we make poor choices and how being a good friend can make all the difference.

We believe it's important to build character and teach the values and skills children need to grow into happy, productive, and caring people. In this book, Frankie and the other Kindness Bugs help to encourage kids to practice kindness, empathy, conflict resolution, and respect.

A great book for any parent who has a child that is struggling with conflict resolution in preschool. It focuses on processing the feelings of friends who sometimes make poor choices. (Some may call that bullying). It also encourages the children who might struggle with sharing or jealousy to find better ways to express their frustrations. Julie Costello - Julie founded Watch Me Grow Child Care and Preschool in 2005 in Gilbert, Arizona. Julie was a preschool teacher for 10 years before taking a position with a nonprofit agency in Arizona that worked to improve child care services throughout the state. After her first child, Bailey, was born in 2004, she struggled to find child care that met her high expectations for quality care. This journey led to the opening of the first Watch Me Grow in October of 2005. Since then, Watch Me Grow has grown to three locations and Julie's vision has touched the lives of countless children.

James Koenig - James Koenig has illustrated over 65 children's books and created characters and illustrations for countless other children's toys and products over the last 17 years. While he's normally the illustrator, he's had new opportunities to start writing in recent years as well. When he's not drawing, James loves going to Disneyland with his wife, Corissa, taking walks with his dog, and spending time being silly with his 15 niblings.
