The Go-Getters

In the early morning of April 15, 1912, four of New York's wealthiest women, Amelia Chesterfield Raycroft, Eleanor Bailey Davies, Lucille Pennystate Campbell, and Margaret Bankert Archer, managed to survive the sinking of the RMS Titanic, only to become widows in the process. The four gals pledge to use their money, influence, and newfound celebrity status to establish, with the help of Amelia's father, railroad tycoon Aaron Chesterfield, an organization/corporation to make the world a better place and help others.

As the years pass, all four widows experience adventure, romance, loss, betrayal, and altruistic behavior in their quest to make a difference. This novel features such plotlines as obtaining medical school degrees, women's suffrage, World War I field hospital operations, Zeppelin air raids over London, a convoy of Allied ships traveling through German submarine-infested waters, a Colorado ranch compound, a mobile hospital that visits Native American reservations, a Chicago based crime family, a family reuniting to help save their property, a kidnapping attempt, and the passing of the 19th Amendment.
