The story is about a boy, Max, who had a hard time making new friends, but one day he befriends a girl named Alice at summer camp. Together they run off into the woods in search of adventure, when they soon realize they are lost. Deep in the forest, the children meet some uniquely cute creatures named Orunus. They are small furry forest dwellers unlike any other animals. Each of these unique creatures has the ability to influence the weather.
This book teaches about friendship, how important it is to overcome doubts and support each other.
Together they will have many interesting adventures and discover many new things, but above all find their way back to camp.
