This is a story of one woman's harrowing quest for freedom in the body and heart!
It's Virginia 1808 and our government has created a secret program of exchanging our own poor and widowed women in rural areas into the slave trade in order to gather women from Africa for our own plantations.
The Exchanged is a telling of fiction, yet very much non fiction as we know slavery at its worst was played out in full display for many!
By entering this particular story you will be transported by her side and at times within her head and heart as she tells all in her journal only to be found years later in an old cabin far into the Virginia mountains.
