You come home to find your father murdered and the killers' cold and brutal thoughts suddenly flash inside your head. They're waiting for you...

Jatz is a low-level Psi working for the Company in southwest Australia's biggest territory, helping them rebuild society from near-extinction in the previous century before he's launched headlong into the hunt for his father's murderer and the desperate search for answers to his past and to his new abilities.

Dukan is doing hard labour across the territory as he slowly plots his escape, and his revenge. Wrongly-convicted, he keeps his telepathic abilities as secretive as his shadowy past, never knowing how intimately-entwined it is with Jatz's family history, nor that both seek the same sadistic killer.

Aided by new friends and his ex-boyfriend, Jatz will learn to harness power mankind has never known while stubbornly flinging himself into trouble while Dukan struggles to balance obsession with compassion for kindred broken souls like himself. They'll both need all the help they can get as they take on an internal hit squad, The Council, bent on toppling the territory's leadership and reforging it under the same man they're after.
