The Cave-Deposit at Sha Kuo T'un in Fengtien

"The Cave-Deposit at Sha Kuo T'un in Fengtien" is a seminal archaeological and geological report documenting the significant findings unearthed at a prehistoric cave site in China. Written by the renowned researcher Johan Gunnar Andersson, this work offers a detailed scientific analysis of the Neolithic remains discovered within the cave, providing crucial evidence for the early history of human activity in East Asia.

Through rigorous observation and documentation, the text explores the stratigraphy of the cave, detailing the recovery of stone tools, pottery fragments, and skeletal remains. Andersson's findings at Sha Kuo T'un were instrumental in establishing a timeline for the Chinese Neolithic period and contributed significantly to the understanding of the cultural evolution of the region. The report combines meticulous geological surveying with archaeological interpretation, making it a foundational text for scholars interested in the origins of Chinese civilization and the development of prehistoric cultures.

This work remains a vital resource for students of archaeology, anthropology, and East Asian history, capturing a pivotal moment in the early 20th-century exploration of China's past. Its focus on evidence-based research and clear cataloging of artifacts ensures its lasting value as a primary source for the study of Neolithic transitions and cave-dwelling populations.
