The Big Adios

The Big Adios finds veteran detective Reed Templeton at the lowest point of his career. After accidentally shooting his unfaithful wife-who had been having an affair with his police captain-Reed faces internal investigations, public scrutiny, and the possibility of losing the badge that has defined his life. But before he can deal with the fallout, the past pulls him into a deadly new mystery.

When two people Reed once worked for as a kid are murdered, he reluctantly teams up with steady-handed Detective John Rice, whose calm competence is often at odds with Reed's spiraling personal turmoil. As they dig deeper, Reed's Uncle Boyd, a retired officer with decades of street-honed instincts, steps in to help connect old secrets with new crimes.

Complicating everything is the unexpected return of Reed's former girlfriend, whose presence stirs unresolved emotions and threatens to derail his already fragile focus.

In his fourth outing in the series, Reed must navigate betrayal, buried memories, and police-department politics while chasing a killer. To solve the case-and salvage what's left of his career-Reed Templeton will have to face the ghosts of his past and decide what kind of man he's going to be when the final reckoning arrives.
