The Biblical African Location of Canaan and Jerusalem

The original Biblical land of Canaan and Jerusalem may not have been located in the Middle East at all. In this study of Biblical geography, the traditional Levantine placement of the Promised Land is re-examined through the combined lenses of ancient cosmology, hydrology, and imperial geography.

The South Canaan Model proposes that the earliest homeland of Jerusalem described in the Bible was located much farther south. By re-centering the Biblical world on the Nile-Sudan corridor of South Canaan, the study argues that many long-standing puzzles involving prophecy, territorial boundaries, and exile narratives become geographically coherent within a broader African historical setting.

Rather than proposing a speculative new world, this work seeks to reassess the historical geography of ancient Canaan and the location of Jerusalem in the Bible. It invites readers to reconsider how ancient texts, geographic descriptions, and historical traditions may point toward an African context that has often been overlooked in conventional interpretations.

Through careful analysis and geographic reconstruction, the study encourages readers to examine the evidence step by step and test the South Canaan Model for themselves.

Extensively documented with maps, historical sources, and geographic analysis.
