So many unanswered questions surround Princess Josephine, a gifted Paratich (witch) who discovered her powers at the age of six, including the ability to foresee the future. At thirteen, she glimpsed her life intertwined with the handsome and unavailable Prince Philip of Malan, who happens to be her sister's husband. As she grapples with her infatuation for the prince and her growing powers, Josie embarks on a quest to uncover her heritage, leading her to discover that she may be the chosen one. This revelation prompts her father to assign her to her own throne, a position accompanied by three mysterious dragon eggs, about which little is known. However, with her new throne and the dragon eggs come numerous threats. To protect her, her brother assigns a formidable mercenary army led by his best warrior, Vale Storm. He is a brute of a man who irritates Josie at every turn, and she does everything she can to defy him. Yet, when danger looms over her precious dragon eggs, she finds herself not only battling for her people and kingdom but also confronting her own heart in the midst of the conflict.
