THE ACTION SCIENCE

This book proposes the new perspective of how an action can bring intrinsic value derived from its impacts and consequences, resulting in the development of the action accounting concept as an alternative management tool for business performance improvement.

The potential threat and opportunity from AI (Artificial Intelligence) and robot machines makes people think what the future job market will look like and how we should be prepared today. Every action counts and it gives reward and compensation based on its value assessed. The digital asset world opens up opportunities for people to earn their living in a new environment.
Moreover, sometimes we have seen people and leaders do things against the majority's belief. It is difficult to object or support such actions because we lack a proper tool to help identify it. The book suggests the calculation of each action as a way to help determine what is the preferred choice through systematic analysis.
The idea for change under the concept of "exdysivity" is discussed in this book. It encourages people and organizations to make change and transformation as natural process rather than a one-time big project. This is well complimented by the Buddhism teaching of Atammayata for decisive and self-force determination which will allow for leaving from an unwanted state to the better one. This philosophy can be embraced and practiced by individuals.
As for the accounting subject, this book proposes the new focus of accounting for actions rather than financials. If we can go back to the origin of the current accounting introduction period, can action accounting be considered as an alternative. Should action accounting be selected, our economics and social beliefs can be totally changed. We will not focus on making profit but creating value from our actions.
This book also introduces a new invented action framework called "Action Grid" which was created from the combination of the concept of ControllerFOCUS for accounting support excellence, and the modified QC (Quality Circle concept by Deming). It can form a powerful tool that can generate unlimited action choices to facilitate the requirements for problem-solving and execution of business plans. Action grid will have the possibility to form a new business language as it is designed by taking all 26 letters and putting them into the 25 codes under the grid. How effective is this concept in real practice?
As the action accounting concept is original and has never been officially introduced, it still needs explicit evidence and pilot run to test its effectiveness. At this stage, the examples shown in this book are only supporting cases for this tool. For real business practice, the workshop will be organized for further improvement. It should be noted that the action grid represents a toolbox of actions. It can be generated from brainstorming sessions, software or even as part of the AI. Otherwise, this can be in the thinking process of practitioners once it is fully adopted as a new knowledge. The potential for future development can be considered very high.
The ultimate hidden goal of the book is to establish a new paradigm for both the individual and business community. PEACE is what we are looking for. All actions should finally contribute to a holistic peaceful society for the sake of humanity's long-term survival. And that's why the title of this book is named "Action Science."
