THE 3rd FLAME

Husbands and wives, you ignite a flame together the moment that you say "I do". Keep the fire burning! Well, what does that look like for both of you? It means that YOU BOTH AT ALL TIMES, should do whatever it takes to bless your marriage with actions of love and not just words. Nurture one another forever, that is the way God intended it...till death-do-you-part. So, when did you lose interest? When did she become your option rather than your passion and constant pursuit? You should view her as the weaker vessel and have consistent compassion toward her. Remember, she is apart of you...the two of you became one. And gentlemen, if she does not look exactly as she did when you first met, she is still the wife YOU CHOSE to spend your life with. And, know this, God is The 3rd Flame in your marriage; I want you to pause and think about this for a moment...

Wives, when did you begin to see your husband as your enemy? Why is he now someone you seem to detest and have little to no desire to be with intimately? Why have you opened the door of your passion to another man? God our Father holds His arms open everyday for us to run into when we fail or miss it. He longs for our hearts and cannot wait to extend forgiveness to us when we need it. But He cannot do that until we come to Him earnestly as a child would ...and ask. At that point, we are forgiven and embraced with more Grace. Know this...God (Maker of Heaven and of Earth; the Giver of Life)...we will all meet one day soon and we must give an account for our lives. Let us stand before Him with clean hands and a pure heart. We all want to hear Him say, "Well Done", right? I know that I do.

The Word of God...the Holy written scriptures tell us that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In other words, we have fallen short of the perfection that He is. Jesus is pure and perfect LOVE. He came to help us in our many imperfections. Funny thing that I have found is that Jesus is not repelled by our imperfections, He is in fact drawn to us and wants to help. Would you be willing to come to Him, face-forward and talk with Him about what you are going through - overall and internally? I assure you He CAN and WILL help you and make your marriage healthy again. Husbands, please love your wives and fight for your marriage. Have faith no matter what! Wives, please hold onto your husband with all that you have. Tell those men NO who mean you no earthly good, it is a temporary fix for them at the expense of your vulnerability. Shield your marriages with prayer and plenty of intimacy between the two of you. It WILL make all the difference. Do your part wholeheartedly, and God will do the rest! Let's talk about it, get your favorite drink and grab a blanket...this one is deep.
