Ridge had been raised as an orphan all his life in a small village in Astracan. Working as a blacksmith and having few friends, he has chosen to make something of himself in the world by joining a militia with his good friend Rose. Both of them have lived in the small village all their lives and want something more. Their village is attacked the day they are to join an Order in hopes of protecting the land, and both are forced to take up the sword. Finding out that the person that has raised him his entire life, was indeed his real father, his vendetta towards the evil forces is fueling him to pursue what is good and been given a special sword that will greatly aid him in fighting the forces of evil, and pursuing it until the end.
