Even though our lives are spinning out of our control and causing us distress, we aren't focusing on that distress because we've entered an illusory world (Māyā Lōkam). We went into that world willingly, but we don't know the way out.
They say that to gain one thing, you must give up another. Similarly, to exit this illusory world we entered, we too must give up certain things. This is exactly like gambling (Jūdam). But this gamble isn't with others; it's a gamble with ourselves. That is why, to come out of that illusory world, we must place our current self, our mind, and our nature as a stake and play the Swayamjūdam (Self-Gamble/Self-War).
The aim of this book is to either send you out of the illusory world or to show you the true nature of the world you are currently in. Therefore, this book called "Swayamjūdam" is not just a collection of poems; the writings within are the songs we need to sing to ourselves, and the words we stopped short of speaking to ourselves.
