Something Better

From 2022-2025, I have written quite a few poems. Some about relationships I am no longer in, emotional rollercoasters I have since gotten off, and experiences as a writer, and a human being. These poems were released as two separate anthologies, A Gaze into Another Life and The Soul is Born, self-published in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

To try and correlate these works into their own collections, separate from each other like I did before, removes their worth. Their connection to myself, how I felt, and where they fit for me in the world. As such, you will not find in this collection a tidy set of poems connected to one theme. Life is not just one set theme, it is an interwoven set of constant, flickering feelings. Some of these poems I no longer connect with like I once did. Some I now connect with more than when I first wrote them. All of them however, are at some point in time or another, a version of me.

You will find poems on love lost, and found, many times. Deep rooted ruminationas on the act of writing, core memories through the lens of hindsight. What it means to be the child of your parents. Mental health, sexuality, religion. All things one may experience in their walk through life. Interwoven with some new poems however, are those in the collections mentioned above, re-edited, re-worked, and given new life.

I hope you find something of yourself in them as well.
