Silent Struggles is a Misery Lit Novel, based on true events. Names and locations have been changed to protect the privacy of those involved. It is meant to bring awareness, not entertain.

This book is not going to be for the faint of heart. The sole purpose of this book is to bring awareness to the fact that men are abused, too. Physically, sexually, and mentally. Both at the hands of other men and at the hands of women. It is not to invalidate what women go through in their daily lives, and it is not to shame anyone. No ones pain is more important than another's and everyone deserves justice and healing.

We live in a society where boys and men are told to man up and get over it. Where we are groomed to believe that "That doesn't happen to boys." Or that it can't happen to boys, because if we didn't want it, then our bodies wouldn't react the way they do. This book is meant to show you how wrong those statements are.

Again, this novel is bring awareness to the fact that men, too, are abused in ways many don't talk about.
