Clara, a young woman in her early twenties, receives a mysterious letter in the mail, containing a key, and a legal notification that she's inherited her family's long-abandoned estate: Shadowbrook Manor.
Clara has vague memories of life there as a child, before one night her parents whisked her away from the mansion never to return. What she found odder than their sudden departure was that they never mentioned the place again. when she would ask about the mansion, they always dodged her questions.
Upon returning to the town of Shadowbrook, Clara learns of her family's dark history, and soon realizes that sometimes an inheritance can become a curse. She must uncover the dark secrets of the past, if she ever hopes to have a brighter future.
She quickly learns that sometimes ghosts are the least frightening things a house can contain...
