In a profession where its practitioners were once designated as guidance counselors, outdated nomenclature-such as this-has now given way to a less limiting and more comprehensive (or more appropriate) titling: school counselors. But what if an advanced-or higher-version of the current terminology may be more appropriately entitled: school difference-makers?

Every day that school counselors arrival to school, they are commissioned with ever-expanding responsibilities and duties and the herculean task of showing up in expanding, innumerable ways for their students and school communities-from mental health support; to social-emotional aid; to targeted academic help; and to customizing post-secondary guidance for students-there are no shortages of ways that modern-day school counselors provide incredible value and support to their school communities. Now, doesn't that perhaps sound more accurately akin to a school difference-maker?
