Saving Booker James

When backslidden Christian Booker James causes a fatal DUI crash, he finds himself in a near-death experience with none other than Jesus Christ Himself, Who showers him with mind-stretching lessons about the scientific nature of the universe and God's dominion over it. Sentenced to prison for his crime, he is surrounded by a cast of characters that have been sent by the Creator to convince him that "faith without works is dead" (James 2:14-26) and that he must live for God in thought and in deed if he truly wants to find meaning in his life. He meets his genius cellmate Frog, a well-meaning skeptic who wants nothing to do with the Bible, and his sagacious therapist Ms. Wentworth, who is one of several to warn Booker that "evil is approaching."
