My entire adult life has been a road trip, and I'm ready to put the brakes on the wanderlust in my veins. So, I bought a motel. The irony isn't lost on me.

What I hadn't anticipated was a little clause in the contract, stating I must use a specific construction company for renovations.  A business owned by a man who gave me one toe-curling, thigh-clenching, soul-defining night that came with a huge dose of reality the following morning. 

I wanted to erase him from my memory, but that has not been easy. And seeing him once again because I'm his new boss, well, I can't decide if I want to kiss him or fire him.

Leaning toward firing him.
