Revisiting the Trinity

The Holy Trinity. Those three words stir a myriad of emotions. It's an incredible attribute of God, and one that can be, quite frankly, confusing. But the Reverend Gerald Skillicorn once more takes a daunting concept and makes it accessible and even applicable to our daily lives.

The Holy Trinity is a picture of God drawn by the hands of early theologians. No doubt the driving force was to share their experience of the revelation of God, using their language and philosophy. They wanted God to be known in a personal way, worshipped reverently and followed faithfully. They wanted all people to know the joy-filled rewards of God's love: "the Father, who created the universe, the Son, who became incarnate and died to set humans free from the power of sin, and the Spirit, who brought the divine love itself into human hearts and minds."

These three components are ONE; each of them a unique way in which God is God and acts in creation.
