Gabby and her even more troubled brother Jaden do it alone, as their mother all but abandoned them. This led to Jaden dropping out of school to sell drugs to help provide for them. They always have each other's backs and that's how they've survived. Gabby has a thing for their friend Stefon who has a thing for their other friend Jasmine who in turn has a thing for Jaden. The mixture of emotions and mental struggles brings about a devastating day where a shooting ends a life.
