The people of Thamud were strong, prosperous, and highly skilled. Allah blessed them with gardens, springs, crops, date palms, and the ability to carve impressive homes into the mountains.

But instead of thanking Allah, many of them became proud and worshipped false gods.

Allah sent Prophet Salih عليه السلام from among their own people. He called them to worship Allah alone, remember their blessings, seek forgiveness, and turn away from those who spread corruption.

When the people demanded a sign, Allah sent them a remarkable she-camel. She was a clear sign and a test. The people were commanded to respect her appointed time to drink and never cause her harm.
