Two hundred million Americans live paycheck to paycheck; 23 million women of reproductive age live in states with abortion bans; and democracy is compromised. Worse, Americans don't like each other. Seventy percent of both Republicans and Democrats claim the other party is "a serious threat to the United States and its people."

However, there are many important policy issues that Americans overwhelmingly agree upon: remove big money from politics, reduce healthcare costs, reduce housing costs, raise the minimum wage, outlaw gerrymandering, and secure women's reproductive rights.

The good news is that these policies can be implemented through moral, legal, and constitutional means without amendments and without raising taxes.

This book describes how Democrats can pass laws that improve the quality of life, advance democracy, and unite Americans. Most importantly, the chapters explain how to overcome obstacles including the Senate filibuster and the Supreme Court.
