Problems of halogenesis

The evolution of the world's oceans is moving from chloride to hydrocarbonate and from essentially juvenile to essentially vadose. The megacycles of halogenesis are determined by the state of thermodynamic activity in the subsurface, which ultimately manifests itself in the release of energy into sedimentation basins. Specific phases of halogenesis reflect the moment of introduction of chlorine-calcium waters into the marine basin. To understand the processes of halogenesis, it is essential to identify the links between the conditions for the formation of powerful salt-bearing formations and global geological processes. When assessing the evolution of salt formation in the Neogene, the role of geochemical evolution in the history of the Earth and the development of lithogenesis processes in connection with changes in the composition of the atmosphere and hydrosphere is emphasized. Rift zones (such as the Pripyat Rift) and the deep faults that form them are structures that contribute to the release of energy from the subsurface with the release of degassing products into sedimentary basins. A genetic link is noted between the appearance of oceans on Earth, the formation of their water composition, salt-bearing basins, replacement zones in potash horizons, and salt dome structures.
