PEBBLES

"Pebbles: 900 Micro Poems" is written by Han Hanshi, a renowned poet and critic specializing in micro poetry, with a foreword by Professor Xu Yingcai-poet, translator, and chief editor of Poetry Hall.

The book comprises ten sections: A Trace of Memory, The Cycle of Seasons, Nostalgia and Family Affection, The Maladies of Society, Imaginations of Life, The Light of Philosophy, The Universe Within Words, Cultivation Through Poetry and Study, and Thoughts at the Tip of the Pen. It features over 900 micro poems (and micro prose poems), along with many critical essays and dozens of poem commentaries.

Drawing from a broad spectrum of life, the poet turns everything he observes into gleaming, polished "pebbles" of verse. He skillfully embodies the aesthetic of micro poetry, believing that "a drop of water contains the sea; a grain of sand reveals gold." Within just three lines, or a tiny space, he creates breathtaking imagery, expresses delicate and sincere emotions, offers profound insights into the human condition, engages in philosophical reflection, or awakens the slumbering soul of Chinese characters with a poetic spirit. Threaded throughout is a consistent voice-authentic and sincere-revealing a deeply personal presence. The collection vividly reflects the author's poetic vision: "Poetry is the dance of the soul, the gymnastics of thought, the fountain of emotion, and the signpost of the spirit."

该书由"一抹印记"、"四季流转"、"思乡怀亲"、"世态病相"、"生命畅想"、"哲理之光"、"字里乾坤"、"诗书耕读"、"心随笔端"等十个部分构成，共收入其微型诗（微型散文诗）900余首（章），并收入诗家评论多篇及数十首诗作点评。
