Patience

Kaden Kennedy was the keyboard player for the world-renowned band Hype. He was also named the world's sexiest man and most eligible bachelor by People Magazine. He didn't lack for companionship; women threw themselves at him no matter where he was, or the circumstances. At least that was the case until he arrived in Hope Springs, Missouri.
When Kaden's gaze locked in on Patience's for a brief second, his heart dropped in his chest, and his pulse raced. He was shocked by his reaction to meeting this woman. Nothing like this ever happened to him before, not ever, and he had seen some of the world's most beautiful women. So, he was floored when this little slip of a girl suddenly, out of the blue, rocked his world.
He smiled at her, tried to get her to pay attention to him for months. But nothing he tried worked. He had never had to pursue a woman before; he was always the one being pursued... until now.
The last concert of the year ended, and hundreds of people rushed to the stage, just like they did after each of Crossroad's performances, to give their lives to Jesus.
Patience Boudreaux loved this part of it. She loved the music and playing with the band more than she ever thought possible. But this - seeing what Tyler's message and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit did, witnessing firsthand thousands of people surrendering to the Lord - was beyond anything she ever thought possible. And, she felt so grateful to be a small part of it.
She was determined not to allow anything or anyone to come between her and God's calling on her life. For the first time, she had purpose, hope, and knew beyond a shadow of a doubt she was where she was supposed to be. She would be all that God wanted her to be. She would follow His guidance and not be sidetracked or misguided by a pretty face.
She was determined not to allow Kaden Kennedy to distract her from the work God had called her to do. She would not fall for his good looks and charm, like all of the other women in the world did, no matter how tempting he was. But nothing in her life had prepared her for...him.
