Parenting role is never a one-gender thing - it's an ineluctable responsibility of both genders. Parenting is one of the hardest tasks ever to bear; it's a lifetime job, but it's worth it in million ways. Parenting, unlike other engagements, works, careers, or courses, is not formally learner, yet, it is axiomatic to establish that it forms a powerful pivot to what other works, careers, professions and vocations... would shape like in the society. It's quite not incongruous to present parenting as that mould through which the society is formed. This alone makes it worthy to be seen as a vocation.
Amidst all pressures and developments, good parenting must be jealously pursued and guarded in order to have sane clime and unimaginable fulfilment in kids upbringing. Leaving parenting to the major care of a gender (male or female, as required in marriage) is quite disastrous - only a very few children come out good out of this situation, hence, every circumstance that pose to cause this must be passionately avoided, and if not so easy, adequate provisions must be made available for proper care.
Parenting has to do with discipline, refinement, formation, building, construction, instruction, guidance, protection and provision. All these are energy-sucking and tiresome roles which require selflessness and absolute attention in their involvements. Sometimes, parenting comes in to overthrow or shut down other professional engagements - it is that demanding!
