California has detached from the continent and is drifting into the Pacific Ocean-but that's not even the strangest thing that will happen before the day is done.

Fresh off the plane, Dana is stranded in Michigan after having the worst date of her life. Now it's up to her rude, germophobic date Mark, his skater roommate Ash, and her punk girlfriend Blatz to help Dana figure out how to get back to California.

Mark has a bizarre vision he's certain is related to what's happening on the west coast-and may also be a clue to getting Dana home-but he has to convince the others, and himself, he isn't making it all up.

Before long, Mark and his three companions find themselves embarking on a surreal, mystery-solving, reality-bending journey of biblical proportions.

All they want is to help Dana reunite with her family, but they'll soon discover they're swept up in a cosmic plot far beyond their control that will carry them further than any of them can imagine.
